Raas Mania was founded at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the fall of 2012.

What started as a dream became a reality on February 23rd, 2013, with the first-ever Raas Mania, organized completely by Illinois students.
Raas is a high-energy, Indian folk dance that originates in Gujarat.
In 2021, the competition expanded to include bhangra teams, making Mania one of the largest competitions in the midwest.
Bhangra is a high-octane Indian folk dance that originates in Punjab.
Doors open at 4:00pm. Program starts at 4:30pm
