DISNEY’S THE JUNGLE BOOK KIDS
Presented by Champaign Park District Youth Theatre
Specially adapted from the classic Disney animated film, Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of exciting characters and your favorite songs from the movie. Inspired by the works of Rudyard Kipling, the “man cub” Mowgli bounds through the jungle and learns what it means to be human.
Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants, and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin’ musical rhythms of the jungle.
NOTICE: FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE VIRGINIA THEATRE
On Thursday, August 26, 2021, Illinois Governor Pritzker announced an Executive Order that all individuals age 2 and up who are medically able are required to wear a face mask while indoors in public settings, regardless of vaccination status. For more, please visit this page.
PLEASE NOTE: CONCESSIONS WILL NOT BE SERVED AT THIS EVENT.
November 1, 2021—The Champaign Park District has paused Concession sales at select youth-oriented Virginia Theatre events through the end of 2021. Since children under the age of 12 have only recently become eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, the theatre is closing its Concessions stand during youth events while efforts to vaccinate children continue. The Park District will reevaluate offering Concessions at youth events at the beginning of 2022.
Impacted events include Youth Theatre Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS, Nov 18-20 (Play), The Princess Bride, Dec 5 (Film), Meet Santa, Dec 1, 8 and 10 (Special Event), It’s A Wonderful Life, Dec 11 (Film), and Holiday in Whoville, Dec 12 (Film).
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work together toward a better 2022!
